Ant Audio Treble H82 BT Headphones Review!

Ant Audio Treble H82
A month ago, when I was looking in the sub- Rs.1000 Bluetooth headphones category; two strong contenders emerged to claim my money and offer their services: 1. Ant Audio Treble H82 BT, 2. Boat Rockerz 400 ( I know the price varies from Rs. 999 to 1499). I chose the Ant Audio Treble H82 and this article will tell you why.

Ant Audio is a UK based audio company that basically makes budget-friendly headphones and earphones for emerging markets like India. When I bought the headphones, there weren't many reviews online about it and not many YouTube videos either. But showing faith in this British company, I placed my order off Amazon.in at Rs. 949.00. The headphones came the next day and here's what I've to say after using them for almost a month:

1. Packaging & Accessories;

The packaging of the product was very good. A hard cardboard box acting as the casing with a transparent plastic film showing the headphones itself. Upon opening the box, you'd find a warranty card, a lot of stickers, user manuals, a micro-USB to USB-A cable, an auxiliary cable and the headphones itself.
The accessories catalog was quite.....modest. They didn't skip on any major parts.

2.  Sound Quality & Ergonomics;

Talking about the aesthetics of the headphone; you've got cushioned earcaps and headband and everything else is plastic with a soft finish. There are three buttons on the headphone: one is for power on or off/play/pause/call-pickup or drop and the other two are for volume up and down or changing track. Also, double-tapping the volume down button calls your most recent contact, which is mildly annoying. Now sound quality.

Disclaimer: I'm not an audiophile. All opinions are my own.

I'll divide the sound quality into three groups to better understand the audio profile it offers:

a. Volume;
     The volume is not overwhelming and you'll often find yourself listening to videos and music at 80-100% of volume.

b. Bass;
     There's almost no bass in these headphones. You can use an equalizer to get some bass but don't expect some drastic change. The sound profile almost sounds flat.

c. Clarity;
     I, personally, think the clarity of vocals on these pair of headphones is good. I mostly use mine for watching videos on YouTube and other streaming services and I never had to use subtitles due to clarity issues.

3. Connectivity and Battery Life;

The headphones use Bluetooth to connect to your device and the range is pretty good. But there's a problem. If you connect the headphones to your phone and move around in different rooms with your phone remaining at one spot, the connection is never lost and the range is decent as well. But somehow, when you, say, for instance, are running with your phone in your pocket and connected to headphones, it constantly keeps on losing connection and the music stops playing. It has happened to me a lot of times. So, keep that in mind.
The battery life, on the other hand, is good. I easily get 5 - 6 hours of playback time on max volume and it takes, only, 80 odd minutes to full charge. So, all in all, the battery life is good.

Final Verdict:
If your budget is super tight and you need a bluetooth headphone that is fairly loud and clear with a good battery life, then, I'd recommend the Ant Audio Treble H82.
